How do you match a child or young person with foster carers? We take great care in matching children with foster carers. During your assessment, we’ll learn about your household, lifestyle, and strengths. This helps us make thoughtful matches that work well for both you and the child.
Can I choose the age of the children I foster? Will I have a say in who is placed with me? Yes, you will be involved in the matching process. We’ll talk with you about your preferences and what feels right for your household. While we encourage carers to keep an open mind about age groups, the focus is always on meeting the child’s needs and making sure you feel confident and supported.
